Seed Collection Workshop

Participants will enjoy a morning education session with Seeding Victoria’s Dan Frost, who will share his knowledge and expertise on seed collection and associated legislation, ethics, and ID skills. A catered lunch will be provided, before spending the afternoon observing demonstrations and gaining hands on experience seed collecting.

The Yarrowee Leigh Catchment Group in Partnership with Seeding Victoria, are excited to host a seed collection education workshop and demonstration on the beautiful Yarrowee River.

-Introduction

-Seed collection rules, regulations and permits

-Seed identification, timing/seasons

-Seed collection and cleaning

-Demonstrations of Identifying and collecting seed on site

-Participants identify and collect seed

Getting there:

Ticket holders are required to drive their own vehicles or car pool to site.

Essential Items:

Sturdy footwear and gaiters are recommended for protection against snake bites, scratches or injury from sticks, insects and seeds.
