National Tree Day, Australia's largest community tree-planting and nature care event is celebrating 20 years. Tree Day is an opportunity to do something positive for your local environment and community and to reconnect with nature. National Tree Day started in 1996 and since then more than 3.8 million people have planted 22.3 million trees and plants and it's still growing.
As part of the ‘Breathing Life Back into the Yarrowee’ project, the Leigh Catchment Group will be celebrating National Tree Day with a tree planting day on the Yarrowee River. There will be a free kids activity and lunch at the end of the planting.
