The Friends of Canadian Corridor Incorporated (FoCC) has a focus on linking the community with Woowookarung Regional Park and the Canadian Corridor. The FoCC currently has 130 members, 1250 friends and works closely with a broad range of community groups and government agencies to achieve its outcomes.
In 2012 when the remaining Blue Gum plantations of the Canadian Forest were cleared, FoCC was formed to ensure that the forest area remained in public ownership. As a result of the FoCCs work, the area was proclaimed a park in 2016 and was subsequently named Woowookarung Regional Park.
The FoCC annually hosts a range of activities including tree planting, pop up walks, high profile speakers and various education programs.
Information regarding the FoCC and its activities are regularly published in the organisations monthly newsletter, Spikey News. Spikey being the Echidna mascot of FoCC.
