Scotsburn Fire Recovery

Scotsburn Phoenix Project - Final Grant Round

Due Date: Friday 19th October, 2018.

This is an opportunity for landholders affected by the December 2015 Scotsburn Fire to access funding to complete on-ground works to retore, rehabilitate or enhance the natural environmental. Examples of activities that will be considered for funding are revegetation of indigenous plants, protection of waterways, weed spraying, protection of remnant vegetation and pest control.

Eligibility:

  • You are eligible if you have a property in the Scotsburn Fire Recovery, works do not have to be in a burnt area as the project is focusing on overall landscape recovery. 
  • You are eligible if you have already received funding through this project and this is a good opportunity to extend the works, conduct further weed/pest control rounds or conduct infill planting.

The Leigh Catchment Group (LCG) is keen to help property owners affected by the recent Scotsburn Fire.

Advice and information is available to fire affected landholders under the following five categories:

1.Fencing

2. Native plants and animals

3. Pest plant and animals

4. Agriculture (soils, pastures, stock)

5. River health and water quality
